Tyrol is our home. From the peaks above Innsbruck to hidden mountain lakes, Austria makes eloping simple — and legally straightforward.
Austria allows official ceremonies at the registry office and, in some regions, at stunning outdoor locations. We coordinate the appointment and paperwork.
The Nordkette above Innsbruck, the Zillertal, and countless alpine lakes are within easy reach.
Innsbruck has its own airport and fast connections to Munich and Venice, making Tyrol one of the easiest Alpine regions to reach.
Innsbruck is the only city in the Alps with a high mountain on its doorstep: the Nordkette funicular and cable cars lift you from the old town to Hafelekar at 2,256 m in about twenty minutes. Deeper in, two toll roads open turquoise water — the Schlegeis Alpine Road in the Zillertal (roughly €13 per car) ends at a milky-blue reservoir, and the Kühtai and Timmelsjoch high roads climb well past the treeline. It is big Alpine scenery with almost no walking.
Our shortlist: the protected Obernberger See near the Brenner, the emerald Schlegeisspeicher in the Zillertal, and the quiet high tarns above Kühtai. All sit close to Innsbruck yet feel a world away — see a real Tyrolean day in this alpine-lake elopement, or, if you want it legally binding on the summit, a real registrar on the mountain. More favourites live in our best Alpine locations.
Marry officially at home and celebrate a symbolic ceremony on the mountain, or complete the legal marriage in Austria — both work beautifully.
